Had to evacuate my hotel room at 8 this morning...in my pajamas. I was three seconds away from changing into real clothes when the fire alarm started going off. Don't worry; it was a false alarm. (I was told a burning piece of toast set it off, actually.) But everyone in the hotel got to see me...in my pajamas.
I felt so terrible for the staff - it's the first week the hotel is open.
But, everyone was fine and I even attended the continental breakfast afterwards. If that's not a sign of things being okay, I don't know what is.
